Anniversary Week
Sunday, September 27, 2009
Words can never tell you, however, — form them, transform them anyway, — how perfectly dear you are to me — perfectly dear to my heart and soul.
I look back, and in every one point, every word and gesture, every letter, every silence — you have been entirely perfect to me — I would not change one word, one look.
-Robert Browning, to Elizabeth Barrett
At the end of this week, on October 3rd, my husband and I will have been married for exactly one year. In honor of that milestone, this week my posts will be one big celebration of our relationship. Happy anniversary week to us!

From Emily A.:
Robert Browning and Elizabeth Barret always have such romantic poetry…
It just gets sweeter with every year. I get irritated with certain habits and hope that one day he will overcome some of them, yet I wouldn’t change any part of the life we have had together so far. Sometimes I long for the freedom of singleness and yet I can’t imagine being without him for one day. Other times I revel in the lack of freedom of marriage and the way that I am bound to him. True love is a strange, strange, powerful mystery…and a lot of work. :) Happy Anniversary week!

Happy anniversary to you! For me, the first year was the hardest. It gets so much better from here. I wish you many many many more happy years of marriage!
